Internet Edge is a Florida corporation founded in 2000. The company's primary activities involve web publishing, internet advertising, domain name registration and domain sales. Internet Edge publishes the domain industry's premier trade magazine, Domain Name Journal at DNJournal.com. The publication has been featured in major mainstream media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal,  Newsweek Magazine, USA Today, the New York Times and MSNBC, as well as in numerous local and regional newspapers. Internet Edge President Ron Jackson is also the Editor and Publisher of Domain Name Journal. The company is currently developing many other special interest web publications on domains that have been acquired expressly for that purpose.

Internet Edge currently owns more than 6,000 generic domain names (in both global and country code extensions) that define important categories of goods and services. Some of these domains will be used for news and information sites related to the domain keyword. Others are being utilized to provide pay per click advertising services to other companies who wish to reach the potential customers attracted to our sites. As our development plans and strategy occasionally changes depending on market developments, some of our properties are also made available for sale. We operate two sites that feature domain inventory that we are currently making available for purchase. Those are Think Domains! (a site focused on the original global extensions, .com, .net and .org plus selected country codes), located at ThinkDomains.com and New Names (a site that specializes in the new global extensions, .info and .biz, as well as .us (the United States country code that was opened to all Americans in April 2002 after previously being reserved for government use). New Names is can be reached from NewNames.info, NewNames.biz or NewNames.us.

Internet Edge also operates a value priced domain name registration site at IdealRegistry.com. Ideal Registry charges only a third of what many giant registrars like Network Solutions and Register.com charge for new domain registrations. Despite charging much less, the site offers more features than competitors, including a free website with each registration.
